Join us this Thursday, Sept. 15th, 7:00-8:30-PM, as we welcome Shawn Dore, DWS, US Brand Ambassador for The Consorzio del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Shawn will lead a special tasting under the tent in the center of the store, featuring six renowned wines from the region and will discuss the differences between Vino Nobile and Rosso di Montepulciano.

Montepulciano is known as a Tuscan Treasure, one of the top regions in the world for the Sangiovese grape. Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is also one of Tuscany's smallest regions and the first to be awarded the DOCG status, the highest classification for Italian wines. These rich red wines based on the Sangiovese grape have similar flavor profiles to their neighbors in Chianti Classico and Brunello di Montalcino.

Shawn Dore, DWS, is a leading wine educator who has taught internationally and a graduate of the internationally recognized Diploma in Wine & Spirits from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, UK. She gained Sommelier certification with the Sommelier Guild of Canada. A regular guest speaker at major wine & food conferences and events, including the American Wine Society, Society of Wine Educators, Wine Vision, and Les Dames d'Escoffier, Shawn is also a guest sommelier at major wine events: Wine Spectator's Wine Experience and La Paulée.

Starting at 7:00 PM, we will pour six wines as Shawn leads a discussion about the history and wine making practices of this famed Tuscan region. Join us This Thursday Sept. 15th at 7pm for this fabulous opportunity to meet Shawn as you taste along with her and appreciate the great wines of Montepulciano.
