Join us Saturday, February 7th from 6:30-9:00 at Joe Canals in West Deptford for our super-rare Rioja Pop-Up Event. Importer, Justin Berlin, Co-Founder of Spanish-Wine-Exclusives, will be explaining and pouring venerable Riojas from 1982, 1981, two different producers from 1970, 1964, and 1928. We couldn’t ask anyone else but the Jose Garces Restaurant Group to create six small dishes, one to pair with each complex wine. Beth Koenig, Jose’s ambassador, will introduce each composition. To properly bring the evening to its close, Menagerie Coffee owners, April Nett and Elysa DiMauro, will present and serve Intelligista single origin pour over coffee chosen specifically for this evening. Menagerie was given Philadelphia Magazine’s award of “Best Coffee Shop” in 2014, and the same year April and Elysa were also recognized as a part of Zagat’s “30 Under 30” in the Philadelphia restaurant scene.
